Settings

These settings change how numbers are read and how results are shown:

Setting	What it does
Use dot as decimal point	Whether the dot or the comma is the decimal point. See Decimal Point & Thousands Separators.
Use European date format	Whether dates read day first (DD/MM/YYYY) or month first (MM/DD/YYYY). See Dates & Times.
Volume units	US Customary, Imperial or Metric gallons, pints, cups and spoons. See Volume Units Setting.
Number format	Auto, Scientific or Fixed. See Number Bases & Scientific Notation.
Result decimals	How many decimal places results show by default, or Full (no rounding). A single line can still change it from the answer menu.
Compact result	Shows large results in a short form, like 1.5M.

Changing one of these updates your open notes right away: every line is read again with the new setting, so you don’t need to reopen a note or edit it.
