Plans, Accounts and Sync

Notes Calculator has two plans: the free plan and Lifetime.

  • Free plan: one note. The sample note new users start with doesn’t count: a new note replaces it until you edit it.
  • Lifetime: a one-time purchase, with no subscription. It unlocks unlimited notes and syncs them across your devices. One purchase unlocks Lifetime on every platform.

On the free plan, a shared note you open while you already have a note opens read-only, so your note stays as it is.

Your account is on the Account page:

  • Phones: tap the account icon on the notes list.
  • Tablets: tap the Account tab.
  • Desktop and web: open the command palette (Cmd/Ctrl + K) and choose Profile.

Buying Lifetime needs an account, so you’re asked to create a free one first. The notes on your device move into your account, then checkout opens. On iPhone and iPad you buy Lifetime through the App Store, and Restore Purchases brings back a purchase you’ve already made.

With Lifetime, your notes sync to every device you sign in to. Changes from your other devices show up in an open note, and a note you delete on one device is deleted on the others.

Signing out of a free account keeps your note on the device: the note you wrote before signing in stays in the app, with your edits. Deleting a free account keeps the note on the device too.

Delete account on the Account page permanently deletes your account and your synced notes, and signs you out. It can’t be undone.
